WinterStrong 7: A Milestone for MeatSafe
WinterStrong 7, hosted by Sorinex, is a one-of-a-kind event that unites industry leaders from both the hunting and outdoor communities as well as the fitness and training world. This year marked MeatSafe’s second time attending, but it was a milestone moment for us—unlike our first visit when we were still in the early idea stage, this time we arrived with a fully functioning prototype unit.
Not only did we bring our MeatSafe prototype to WinterStrong, but it also played a crucial role in the event itself. Other vendors used it to store food and as a cutting surface, proving its real-world functionality and impact. Seeing our vision come to life in such a hands-on environment reinforced our mission: to Honor Every Kill by providing a product that helps hunters and all carnivores extend the life of the protein they harvest or purchase.

A highlight of the event was the training and Q&A session we hosted. Dustin and I had the opportunity to engage directly with attendees, addressing industry concerns and sharing practical knowledge. Topics included proper field dressing techniques—especially in hot conditions—strategies for maximizing the longevity of frozen meat, and best practices for wrapping meat for long-term storage. Not only did attendees walk away with valuable insights, but they also left feeling more confident in their ability to process and preserve their harvest.
Beyond the hands-on learning, WinterStrong was a time of camaraderie and connection. We caught up with old friends, met new faces, and exchanged stories around the campfire. We had the chance to reconnect with the athletic training teams from Texas A&M and Clemson, enjoy world-class meals prepared by some of the best big game chefs, and immerse ourselves in a shared passion for the outdoors.
Reflecting on WinterStrong 7, it’s clear that events like this are more than just gatherings—they’re opportunities to learn, grow, and strengthen the bonds within our community. For MeatSafe, it was another step forward in our journey, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience.
